Cinema Visits, Birdwatching, Epping Forest Walks and Walking Cricket have no limit on numbers although you need to let the leader know to expect you - Lesley can supply contact details. Film Club may have spare places too - join Arthur's mailing list and check in with him monthly. For Cinema visits ask Lesley to get you onto Hania's mailing list.

The annual Group leaders meeting is scheduled to take place on Thursday 9th April 9-1pm in Hodgson Hall. Please let Lesley know if you intend at attend as she has only received a few notifications so far and is unsure whether the meeting should go ahead.

It is a privilege to be invited into other people's homes to take part in a shared group experience and I'm sure everyone who participates is grateful for the opportunity. But it appears that some people are not letting the group leaders know if they are not able to attend. Sometimes only one participant bothers to turn up which is disheartening for the organiser especially if the group has a waiting list. You have a responsibility to let the group leader know if you are unable to attend.

Cultural Capital.......our WhatsApp group now with 37 members. Co-ordinating theatre, cinema and exhibition visits. Any member of the WhatsApp group can post when they're doing something others might want to join in with. Everyone books their own individual tickets and makes their own travel arrangements so there's no admin for the outing proposer. Waltham Forest U3a memberscan join by contacting Sue Dawn (Minutes Secretary) whose details are on the last page of the newsletter. Currently co-ordinating attendances at events as varied as a trip to the Dulwich Picture gallery, a trip on the Uber boat, and an Arthur Miller production at the local cinema to name but a few.

Winetasting Group.........This very popular group now with 28 members meets at Vino Tap Wine Bar, 2A Winchester Road E4 9LN. It's a 2 minute walk from Highams Park Station and on the 212 and W16 bus routes. The bar provides a 3 glass wine flight with some tasting notes for £13, or you can select something individually. Freedom Pass Wanderers.......Up and running with a growing membership (currently 19) linked via WhatsApp. Any member of the WhatsApp group can suggest a walk and others can decide if they want to come along. There's no need to walk the walk beforehand - we can get lost together! Walks can be taken from books, the internet etc. Being a WhatsApp group, members will need to share their phone details.
