Geography of GB

Maybe you were one of those who hated geography but knew you weren't being taught well? Give yourself a second chance and join this friendly relaxed group. You don't need any prior knowledge but you will need access to a computer as that is the main way to find information without wasting a lot of time, effort and money.

We study the British Isles county by county (though not in any particular order - we're driven by everyone's enthusiasm). Our take on 'geography' is that it can include absolutely everything: physical geography; human geography; places and tourist attractions; areas of Special Scientific Interest; Heritage sites; the origins of names; languages; flags, crests and mottoes; waterways; even archaeology and of course, a generous dose of historical events.

We bring everything we can find to the group - maps, plans, brochures, personal photographs, books, and above all, the results of extensive 'googling'. It's not uncommon for a session to make some members feel they really must visit a county they've never been to before. Indeed once or twice that's actually happened.
