Waltham Forest U3A holds regular monthly meetings on the third Tuesday of each month at the Methodist Church Hall, Winchester Road, Highams Park, E4 9JP. We start promptly at 2pm, doors are open from 1.30pm. Access is only directly from Winchester Road. It is step-free and buses 212 & W16 stop almost outside the building. You may visit at a cost of £2 which will be refunded if you join after the meeting. For joining details go to our membership page.

After 10 years as membership secretary, Vicky O'Brien is stepping down, and we need one of our members to volunteer to take over the role. We require someone friendly, organized, able to use a computer and willing to handle money. Vicky will be there to help and support you as necessary until you feel competent to carry the role alone. Please consider volunteering as we cannot function without a membership secretary. For further information talk to Vicky on the membership desk.
URGENT - URGENT - URGENT - URGENT - URGENT - URGENT -URGENT - URGENT - URGENT -URGENT - URGENT - URGENT -URGENT - URGENT Can you help? We are looking for a couple of people who would be willing to help with setting up the audio/visual equipment at our monthly meetings. We are now using a new P.A. System which is on wheels so is easy to handle and operate. You would need to be able to come along a bit earlier to a monthly meeting to take the equipment out of the cupboard, set it up and put it back again after the meeting. This would help us to cover holidays or illness and to not just reply on one person. Please speak to Trevor for an informal chat at the meeting.
Trial Seating. As this appears to be working well we will continue at our January and February meetings when some seats will be reserved in the first row after the fire exit aisle for our new members and visitors. We would love to have some more volunteers join our Meet and Greet team to make visitors feel welcome. Please speak to Chris Farnes or any member of the Committee for more details.
