The film on 21st October will be "Late Spring (1949). One of four Japanese films we’ve got with subtitles, award winning masterpieces by renowned director Yasujiro Ozu. A sort of family saga. In this one, Noriko and her father Professor Somiya live together in perfect harmony until an interfering aunt raises the question of marriage. A tender story of tradition running up against modernity.

This film will be shown at Jean and David's house in Walthamstow.
