Nearly thirty years to the day, we celebrated our30th Anniversary of the founding of Waltham Forest u3a.  The cake below was cut by member Jane (pictured below in the orange jumper), whose late husband John Cowley instigated the start of our u3a group after a plea from Epping u3a who were oversubscribed at the time.  There was a display with photos and scrapbooks over the years for members to look at as well as an entertaining talk by Tony Tutton about his life in music Coronation to Coronation which a packed audience enjoyed reminiscing and singing along. enjoy our record of the event below.
